TCEA Data Privacy Policy
This document outlines the information-gathering and dissemination policies for the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA).
I. Our site's membership and event order form require users to give us contact information (e.g., name and email address), financial information (e.g., credit card numbers), and demographic information (e.g. ZIP code, employer, occupation). Financial information collected is used to bill the user for products and services
II. Our online surveys ask visitors for demographic information (e.g., ZIP code, age, occupation)
III. Demographic and profile data are also collected at our site for use in demographic reports.
IV. Customers' contact information is shared with other companies in the educational technology industry as a service to our valued members, and product purchasers. Careful consideration is given to the uses and purposes of mailing list rental requests before we release any information about our customers. Customers my choose to not receive future mailings by logging onto our system and checking the "vendor privacy" box while in edit profile mode or by contacting our membership manager, Angela Crowder (crowder@tcea.org).
V. Attendee email addresses are disclosed only to corporate sponsors of our annual convention and are released to them for a one-time use.
VI. TCEA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the contents of any web sites linked to or from our site.
VII. This site makes forums, message boards, and/or list serves available to its members. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes accessible by all members. Exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
VIII. TCEA forums are available for both member and non-member use.

X. TCEA reserves the right to send electronic mail to you for the purpose of informing you of changes or additions to the site or other TCEA offerings.
XI. TCEA reserves the right to disclose information about your demographics, provided that it will not reveal your personal identity in connection with the disclosure of such information.
